Our Story
Sakura Health and Wellness was born from a simple conversation and a shared vision for better allied health care. In 2021, co-founders Amanda Frame, an experienced psychologist, David Bartlett, a former manager of Family, Women’s and Children’s Health at Gold Coast Health, and Ian Frame, who has worked extensively with young people and families across Logan, came together and shared their experiences and stories.
What united them was a clear need in the Logan and Northern Gold Coast community: families were struggling to access the allied health services they needed without endless travel, disconnected providers, and added stress. Too often, parents were left coordinating multiple appointments in different places, while children missed out on the benefits of truly connected care.
From this discussion came the vision for a different kind of clinic—a family-focused, one-stop hub for psychology, speech therapy, and allied health services, all delivered under one roof. A place where families could feel welcome, safe, supported and confident in the care they receive. A place where clinicians didn’t just work side by side, but collaborated closely, shared knowledge, and put each client’s best interests first. And for our adult clients, a place offering personalised, evidence-based support to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Today, that vision is a reality. At Sakura Health and Wellness, we are proud to offer a warm and trusted space where children, young people, and families – and the wider community – can access inclusive, compassionate, and connected care that empowers every client to thrive.
